|
The Junior Intermediate Labour Market strand seeks to enhance work-related learning and employability for targeted cohorts of 80 pupils in total in the two schools of Hylton Red House and Pennywell. Through this strand of the project we aim to raise pupils’ awareness of the world of work, enhance motivation and raise aspirations. Working with partners we will seek to improve information, advice and guidance to pupils and their parents, helping the young people to make better and more informed choices about their future career paths. The support provided both in schools, through Connexions and in the workplace should facilitate effective transition, improve retention rates and enhance progression routes into further education, training and employment.
